In Theorie... The term "ethnophonography" is a word creation. Starting from the ethnography - the description of the "cultural Other" - it sets the auditory dimension in its center. Ethnophonography considers language and voice as essential features of a soundscape or sonic space that surrounds and dominates us, pervading the world. The book is written in German, but I'm working on another publication in English.
